Since 1990 I've been writing environmental narratives that weave together science with people, history, economics, and politics. I've won Gold and Silver medals from the International Regional Magazine Association and my work has been published in many magazines, from Discover, Preservation and Backpacker to Wisconsin Trails, Grist, and Fit Pregnancy.
